Corporate Risk Manager
– Rumpke Waste & Recycling Rumpke is a family‑owned leader in waste and recycling, committed to safety, service, the environment and growth. The Corporate Risk Manager will lead the enterprise‑wide risk management program, advising Finance, Legal and Operations to proactively identify, mitigate and manage risks across all business areas. This role will direct the strategy and annual placement of the company’s insurance programs and the development of a risk financing framework. Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, structure and execution of risk financing programs across Rumpke’s operations, including retentions, limits, deductibles and multi‑year deals. Develop, implement and continuously improve an enterprise‑wide risk management framework, including policies, procedures and guidelines. Identify and assess potential operational, regulatory, technology, financial, strategic and reputational risks. Collaborate with risk owners to establish mitigation strategies and action plans. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes and controls. Provide guidance and support to business units in identifying and managing risks within their areas. Assist in developing and delivering risk management training programs to enhance risk awareness and promote a risk‑conscious culture. Provide risk reporting and assessments to key stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field. At least 5 years of experience in contracts management, insurance coverage, data centers and/or comparable legal experience. Insurance, Risk Management, Surety broker experience and construction finance/accounting experience a plus. Strong contract skills, excellent time management, organization and multi‑tasking with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams, handling sensitive and confidential situations with sound judgment. Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not manage employees. Physical Requirements
Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a maximum of 10 lbs. Continuously sitting, standing and walking in an office environment. Additional Working Conditions
Ability to travel between offices as required. Legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver’s license (if applicable). Must successfully complete pre‑employment testing. Must be able to read and speak English. EEO Statement
