Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a DevOps Engineer/ Principal DevOps Engineer in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. Successful candidates should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities will focus primarily on installing, configuring, and maintaining the DevOps infrastructure to include GitLab, Kubernetes, Harbor, and related DevOps technologies. They will play a pivotal role in development and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This candidate will be planned to support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.

Basic Qualifications For a DevOps Engineer

One of the following:

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline

Minimum of 2 years experience implementing Kubernetes infrastructure

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Able to obtain an IAT Level II certification such as Security+CE or SecurityX (formerly CASP+) within 60 days of starting

Will need to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph

Basic Qualifications For a Principal DevOps Engineer

One of the following:

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 3 years of experience

Minimum of 2 years experience implementing Kubernetes infrastructure

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Able to obtain an IAT Level II certification such as Security+CE or SecurityX (formerly CASP+) within 60 days of starting

Will need to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

Active CI polygraph

Experience with Rancher or Rancher Government Solutions (RGS)

Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with OCI-compliant containers and tools (Docker, Podman, etc.)

Experience developing automation techniques that improve deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environment

Kubernetes, DevOps, or Cloud related certifications

Active IAT Level II certification such as Security+CE or SecurityX (formerly CASP+)

Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practices

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
