Senior Engineering Program Manager

Responsibilities
Lead planning, tracking, and execution of R&D programs at corporate headquarters through close collaboration with cross‑functional engineering leads and senior management.
Develop detailed staffing plan and bottom‑up schedule for R&D programs involving RF/AMS, DSP algorithms, SOC, Software, System and System Integration and Test teams.
Establish program Plan of Record and success metrics and track continuously.
Manage program execution to ensure product leadership, while meeting quality, timeline, and cost requirements; manage execution risks by implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Report on program status, issues, and action plans to business unit program management and to senior management.
Ensure program adherence to MaxLinear’s Process Development Methodology and assure project lifecycle compliance, including reviews and lessons learned sessions, and continuous improvements in processes, cross‑functional development flows, and execution excellence.
Manage relationships with all program stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to optimize outcomes.
Qualifications
Knowledge and broad experience across technical disciplines including RF/AMS, DSP, SoC, Systems, Software, and System Integration and Test.
Deep expertise in one or more of these areas:
Track record of hands‑on technical program / project management or engineering chip lead experience over multiple product cycles.
In‑depth understanding of engineering workflows, validation methodologies, and processes.
Exposure to chip bring‑up, debug, system integration and lab validation.
Creative problem solver with execution mindset, ability to excel and lead cross‑functional technical teams to deliver to plans of record.
Self‑motivated with excellent communication skills.
BS + 11 years of experience, MS + 9 years of experience or equivalent, or Ph.D. + 6 years of experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $149,968 to $205,100 Annually.
Annual discretionary bonus eligibility.
