Job Overview Join Northrop Grumman for the Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer – R10211520 role. This position located at the Orlando, Florida, facility supports the Sentinel program and involves collaboration with customers, architects, test teams to develop concepts of operations and system concept definitions.

Key Responsibilities

Interact with customers and stakeholders to shape and validate requirements.

Collaborate with external test teams to ensure requirements are verifiable.

Capture requirements in DOORS and Cameo Enterprise Architecture with traceability to system components.

Develop concepts of operations and interface definitions, decompose, allocate and translate requirements into software and hardware specifications.

Basic Qualifications

Engineer Systems: B.S. in STEM and 2 years professional/military experience, or M.S. in STEM and 0 years experience.

Principal Engineer Systems: B.S. in STEM and 5 years experience, or M.S. in STEM and 3 years experience, or Ph.D. in STEM and 1 year experience.

Current DoD Secret Clearance.

Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering principles and tools, including MBSE tools, practices, and methods.

Experience developing models in Cameo Enterprise Architecture and requirements analysis, development and management.

Strong understanding of agile framework and joy to implement and use MBSE tools and practices.

Familiarity with Rational DOORS.

Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Expert‑level SysML proficiency with at least 2+ years of use‑case, sequence and activity diagram development.

Experience with full lifecycle Systems Engineering: requirements decomposition, test planning, verification.

Experience preparing verification documentation for system level requirements.

Working knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.

Large‑scale and complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program.

Salary and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 – $115,800.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 – $142,900.00.
