Job Description Automation Integration Technologies (AIT) is part of the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies Robotics organization, focused on transforming modern robotics and material handling operations with intuitive, human‑centered interfaces. We design and implement interfaces for complex systems such as conveyor networks, robotic workcells, and industrial control systems.

We are seeking a passionate Senior UX Designer to innovate in creating human‑machine interfacing platforms that support Amazon’s mission of being Earth’s most customer‑centric company.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct user research and create personas, journey maps, and task flows to understand operator needs and behaviors.

Design intuitive interfaces for complex automation systems using human‑centered design principles.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs for various platforms and devices.

Collaborate with front‑end engineers to ensure design integrity during implementation.

Develop and maintain design systems that scale across multiple applications.

Lead design reviews and usability testing sessions.

Analyze user metrics and feedback to continuously improve interface designs.

Mentor junior designers and promote design best practices across teams.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of design experience.

Available online portfolio.

Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax.

Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute strategic programs.

Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

Experience acquiring user data, creating personas, and journey maps.

Experience delivering design solutions for large‑scope, complex projects.

Deep understanding of design principles, governance, and accessibility standards (WCAG) including implementation in the design system.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying Scrum to visual or UX design processes.

Experience with UX design of complex workflows.

Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards.

Experience designing in an agile development environment.

Experience executing lightweight coding of prototypes and basic front‑end work.

Equity, Compensation, & Benefits The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
