About the location: Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lāna’i, Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is a secluded oceanfront destination offering travelers a curated, personalized island escape. The five‑star resort features outdoor restaurants, a kid’s club, tennis garden, cultural programming, beach and pool, a spa, luxury retail, a Jack Nicklaus‑signature golf course, and a range of island activities.
What You’ll Do The Assistant Director of People & Culture works closely with the Director of People & Culture to oversee the day‑to‑day operation for Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i, Sensei Lāna’i, and all other Four Seasons Lāna’i entities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the administration of employee benefits and ensure compliance with wage & hour regulations
Support recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies
Manage employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture
Lead on labor relations and union communications
Oversee employee communications and career development initiatives
Coordinate and support learning and development programs
Handle workers’ compensation and employee‑related legal matters
Plan, organize, and participate in employee engagement events and recognition programs
Collaborate with leadership to align People & Culture strategies with business goals
What To Bring
Legal work authorization in the United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location and may qualify for L‑1 Visa sponsorship)
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull as needed during shifts
Weekend and holiday availability may be required
3–5 years of experience in a People & Culture leadership role
Strong background in labor relations and union experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, and discretion
