As an Application Scientist I at Sensient Technologies, you will play an important role in bringing new food and beverage ideas to life. What you’ll do

Prepare flavor samples and basic formulations to support the work of more senior scientists

Be part of the team who is focused on artificial color conversion to natural colors on different applications.

Organize and maintain the laboratory, including managing supplies and restocking materials

Set up and assist with sensory screenings and help maintain the internal flavor library

Participate in team workshops, customer visits, and occasional travel with a manager and sales team

Operate basic laboratory tools and testing equipment while following proper procedures

Support pilot runs and contribute to internal innovation discussions

Handle basic mathematical conversions and document all work according to established guidelines

What you’ll bring

A degree in a science‑related field or equivalent laboratory experience

At least some previous hands‑on work in a lab, with an interest in food and beverage applications

A keen attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and a focus on time management

Comfort working in a fast‑moving environment and ability to stand for extended periods

Willingness to lift moderate weights occasionally, typically up to a full box of supplies

Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

A desire to learn and grow your technical knowledge and creative problem‑solving skills

The salary range for this position is

$63,250 - $84,325 . Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
