Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and licensed School Psychologist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This full-time position involves providing psychological services to middle school students, focusing on their academic, emotional, and behavioral development. The role requires a professional who can collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and administrators to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and social development.
Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, and academic stress.
Develop and implement strategies to manage and improve student behavior, promoting a positive school climate.
Respond to and manage crises, providing immediate support and developing plans to address underlying issues.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement strategies that support student learning and well-being.
Stay current with laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to school psychology practice.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Active School Psychologist license issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE SSP).
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience as a school psychologist, preferably working with middle school-aged students.
Skills:
Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Other:
Ability to manage a caseload independently and effectively.
