Contracts & Grants Analyst 3 (Recruitment ID #36485134)
Under the general supervision of the Contracts and Grants Manager, this role administers and coordinates complex fiscal budgeting and operations to ensure fiscal integrity and uphold strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced budget and resource analyses, and assist in preparing monthly financial reports for principal investigators (PIs) and administration.
Administer pre‑ and post‑award grant administration and respond to evolving financial reporting needs.
Provide ad‑hoc information for PIs, department chairs, and administration through campus financial systems.
Prepare multi‑year budgets and coordinate the submission of contract and grant proposals to various agencies.
Interpret policy, conduct critical analyses, and provide administrative support for all aspects of temporary academic personnel administration.
Oversee and audit departmental contract and grant funds, collaborating with departments to resolve issues.
Train PIs and administrators on contract and grant responsibilities, accounting procedures, best practices, sponsor requirements, and compliance with UCR policies and regulations.
The position is designated as a Career Ladder recruitment, which means the hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. Compensation:
The full salary range for the Contracts & Grants Analyst 3 is $68,500 ‑ $121,900. Salary offers consider education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
