About the Role
We are looking for an
AI Modeling Specialist
to support our Global Supply Chain (GSC) Strategy & Operations team as we leverage AI models for our Supply Chain systems and products. This position will focus on supporting supply chain applications to implement new LLM and vision‑language models. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for training, fine‑tuning, and optimizing large‑scale language and multimodal models (e.g., vision‑language, video‑text models) with Python and Java. Build robust training pipelines including data processing, distributed training, checkpointing, and deployment. Contribute to building enterprise‑level AI platforms and explore real‑world applications such as product recommendation, semantic search, or multimodal understanding. Track and apply cutting‑edge research in LLMs and multimodal learning to improve model performance. Collaborate closely with Algorithm, Product, and Data teams to accelerate AI transformation across the business. Basic Qualifications
Master's degree or above in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in deep learning development with strong understanding of architectures like Transformer, BERT, ViT, CLIP, BLIP. Proficient in PyTorch or TensorFlow, with experience training large models. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multimodal tasks (e.g., image‑text, vision‑audio integration). Experience with model fine‑tuning techniques like LoRA, QLoRA, and Prompt Tuning. Familiar with distributed training frameworks such as DeepSpeed, FSDP, Megatron‑LM. Hands‑on Experience with high‑performance computing platforms (A100/H100 clusters). Familiarity with open‑source LMMs such as OpenCLIP, LLaVA, MiniGPT, InternVL. Knowledge of model compression, AI safety, and data governance. Strong engineering mindset and ability to drive project execution independently. The base salary budgeted range for this position is $70-92k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This position is hybrid 3days/wk at our Morrisville, NC location. Lenovo's various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
