Project Engineer – Channahon, IL
Doka USA Ltd.
is seeking a Project Engineer to determine and plan technical solutions for construction projects utilizing Doka formwork systems. Partner with customers, contractors, sales and operations while overseeing jobs from preliminary planning stages to project completion.
Responsibilities
Support sales by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customer’s needs, ensuring economic and regulatory compliance.
Create AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage and finalize working drawings, providing material lists for quotations and shipments.
Guide customers on forming solutions, service job sites and respond to equipment usage questions.
Motivate the team, delegate work, and ensure team and company objectives are met.
Ensure drawings indicate proper use of Doka forming equipment and represent safe, economical, efficient designs.
Adhere to policies, procedures, programs, and standards of performance and compliance.
Monitor conformance with contractual guidelines and visit job sites as required.
Identify improper implementation and take action to implement technical solutions immediately.
Service the job site for correct use of formwork systems when a service advisor is absent.
Maintain safe working practices and a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
Two years of concrete design or concrete application experience.
Experience with scheduling projects to meet deadlines and project management software.
Experience determining and planning technical solutions for projects utilizing formwork systems.
Experience producing preliminary drawings during the proposal stage, final field use drawings, and generating material lists.
Experience partnering with customers, contractors, sales and operations departments while managing jobs from preliminary planning stages to project completion.
Experience visiting job sites, identifying improper implementation, and taking action to ensure immediate implementation of technical solutions.
AutoCAD, structural analysis, and basic static calculations skills.
Computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
AutoCAD test and statics test passing required.
3% domestic travel required.
Salary $74,256 per year.
Travel 3% domestic travel required.
