About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Senior Accountant / Accounting Lead
to join our team in Tiffin, IA. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, and ready to take the next step in their career with the potential to grow into an Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end financial reports
Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Assist with year‑end audits and help maintain internal controls
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
Collaborate with management to support day‑to‑day financial operations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a small team environment
Experience in agriculture, construction, or manufacturing industries a plus
