Senior Postdoctoral Associate (2503944) at the C.N. The Institute has a tradition of collaboration with the Departments of Physics and Astronomy and of Mathematics and the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook and with Brookhaven National Laboratory. Required Qualifications:
Completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in theoretical physics or a closely related field, with a record of three years of independent research experience. Brief Description of Duties:
Conduct research in the field of the researcher’s choice in theoretical physics. The researcher may collaborate with senior and junior members of the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics, as well as members of other research institutes, and may travel for research purposes. The Institute has a tradition of collaboration with the Departments of Physics and Astronomy and of Mathematics and the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook and with Brookhaven National Laboratory. Responsibilities
Conduct research in the field of the Sr. Postdoctoral Associate's choice in particle theory, cosmology, quantum field theory, string theory, condensed matter, statistical mechanics, and quantum information theory. Collaborate with senior members of the YITP working in the same field as well as in other educational institutes. Present seminars based on the Sr. Postdoctoral Associate's work during academic year.
