Position Overview The Workday Finance Systems Administrator will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the company’s Workday Financial Management platform, responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing its configuration. This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong business acumen in finance, accounting, procurement, or distribution operations who thrives at the intersection of technology and process improvement.

You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Supply Chain to automate workflows, troubleshoot system issues, and develop scalable enhancements that improve data integrity, reporting, and business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary administrator and technical lead for the Workday Financials environment.

Manage configuration, maintenance, and ongoing enhancements across multiple modules including:

General Ledger

Procurement / Supplier Accounts

Inventory Accounting

Assets

Project Costing

Adaptive Planning

Workday Studio / Integration Cloud

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to automate financial workflows, resolve issues, and optimize system use.

Support monthly and quarterly close cycles by ensuring accurate transactional data and reporting.

Design, build, and maintain custom Workday reports and dashboards to support financial and operational analytics.

Oversee user security, access management, and compliance controls.

Partner with IT and data governance teams to ensure consistency of master data and integration with ERP, inventory, and 3PL systems.

Lead regression testing, system upgrades, and Workday release adoption.

Provide training and user support across Finance and Operations teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

5+ years of experience administering and supporting Workday Financials, including Workday Studio and Integration Cloud.

Strong understanding of distribution cost accounting, procurement workflows, and inventory management.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain financial reports and dashboards in Workday.

Experience working with cross‑functional IT and Finance teams in a multi‑location environment.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Workday Pro Certification preferred.

Preferred Background

Hands‑on experience supporting integrations between Workday and ERP or warehouse management systems.

Familiarity with security role management and compliance frameworks such as SOX.
