Overview This position works out of our St. Paul Tech Center, MN site, supporting our Electrophysiology Medical Device division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Responsibilities

Administration of all training documents and computer/system training records.

Management of reports and training status of direct labor.

Content creation and classroom delivery of onboarding content.

Monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of onboarding and training within the direct labor team.

Ensuring compliance to all Abbott safety, quality, and operations processes.

Primary responsibility is managing and maintaining the Tech Center Operations training compliance reports, status, and documentation with paper records and electronic record keeping in the Learning Management System (LMS).

Perform all LMS admin functions and create maintain Learning Activities, Audiences, and Reports.

Proactively monitor team training status and maintain current training status of all operations personnel at the site.

Communicate certification and training needs by reporting gaps in manufacturing personnel training and knowledge.

Troubleshoot LMS and other reporting tools by identifying and researching the problem.

Coordinate and deliver 3‑day onboarding classes for manufacturing direct labor.

Assess and revise training program content as required, including developing instructional techniques and formats such as team exercises, training aids, training simulations, group discussions, and lectures.

Assess, develop, and implement structured on‑the‑job training solutions.

Audit trainees to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of training.

Maintain employee paper training records and through electronic system (LMS).

Work with Abbott systems and supervisors for provisioning and onboarding of new hires.

Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and feedback from managers and supervisors.

Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Regular presence in production areas around production equipment and materials that may require safety training and the use of personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.

2‑4 years of training‑related experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment.

Good interpersonal and communication skills, including written and presentation skills.

Computer proficient, with proven capabilities using Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems, and databases.

Strong knowledge of Adult Learning Principles.

Able to analyze data and recommend solutions.

Understanding of working in a regulated industry.

Must be detail oriented, self‑motivated, and have good communication skills.

Prior work supporting a training group is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Base pay for this position is $23.25 – $46.55 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
