Job Summary

As a Lab Assistant, you will organize the specimen procurement area, perform collection techniques for all age groups, and provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and reference laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently organize and manage specimen procurement, receipt, and processing area.
• Collect specimens using age‑related techniques for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.
• Answer telephone calls, provide information regarding specimen collection, interface with hospitals and medical offices, obtain blood specimens, provide quality service, and perform general laboratory duties.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy program preferred.
• Experience in a hospital laboratory desired.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
