Overview MillerKnoll is seeking a Senior Manager of Sourcing to join our Global Retail and Product organizations. The role focuses on cultivating and managing partnerships with best-in-class suppliers to support product growth strategies with emphasis on operational excellence and quality. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep experience in global sourcing within the home furnishings and furniture industry, supporting the "Lifestyle" furniture category focused on residential customers. The goal is a healthy, resilient, and reliable supply chain that can deliver our product strategies and achieve margin goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support the retail growth strategy, deliver assortment expansion, and strengthen the financial performance of the business. Use knowledge of supplier capabilities, country-specific advantages, risk exposure, and long-term capacity to guide strategies.
Align supplier allocation and sourcing decisions with country core competencies, margin targets, product requirements, and capacity to support successful new product development.
Expand and diversify the supplier base in alignment with retail growth strategies, prioritizing quality, scalability, lead times, and product capability.
Lead vendor rationalization and re-sourcing efforts to optimize cost structure, improve product quality, and delivery performance.
Continuously evaluate and optimize the supplier matrix, providing recommendations for development, growth, or exit plans based on strategic alignment and performance.
Advance responsible sourcing practices and strengthen supplier performance in quality, sustainability, and risk management.
Analyze supplier performance, reliability, and compliance to inform sourcing decisions and drive continuous improvement and accountability across the supply base.
Lead cost negotiations and identify cost-saving opportunities across strategic suppliers and key collections.
Collaborate with Innovation and Product Development teams to integrate sustainable materials and minimize environmental impact in production and logistics.
Mentor and develop Sourcing Associates to build future leadership capability.
Travel domestically and internationally (~30%) to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and regional teams.
Qualifications
8+ years proven sourcing experience with previous experience in the home furnishings industry.
Expert-level knowledge of furniture manufacturing and the home furnishings landscape.
Experience in new product commercialization including full development and launch cycle.
Expertise in retail operations and metrics; understanding key customer metrics and end-to-end supply chain to enable proper supplier vetting, selection, and management.
Expert negotiating skills with the ability to challenge the status quo.
Strength in quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration within matrixed organizations.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Product Development, or similar.
High level of personal integrity, ownership and business ethics.
Passion for design, sustainability, and innovation in sourcing.

Compensation and Benefits A starting compensation range for this role is $118,750.00 - $150,000.00, with potential eligibility for geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive, and equity awards.
