HII This opportunity resides within HII's Global Security [GS]. Mission Technologies' Global Security [GS] group comprises live, virtual, constructive [LVC] solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business. The BMD FST-At-Sea SME performs engineering, operations, and project management activities in order to support the training audience and training commands' utilization of the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) and associated modeling and simulation tools. This position works in support of NSWC Corona's Navy Integrated Training Environment [NITE] contract's growing demand to employ an LVC integrated environment into fleet training events. This initiative will enable all live units and virtual/constructive entities to detect, track, classify and engage all other entities and units, with both kinetic and non-kinetic effects, within the limitations of the real world systems. Essential Job Responsibilities

Work onsite primarily at NSWC Corona's Global LVC Operations Center [GLOC] on Dam Neck Annex in support of COCOM led FST training events. Work with NCTE Operations and Engineering Teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events. Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring. Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences. Serve as NSWC-Corona's NCTE LVC technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of Ballistic Missile Defense [BMD] training events. Monitor event operations for compliance within NCTE standards and LVC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Recommend changes to SOPs as needed and help to develop new SOPs as LVC training operational requirements expand. Review ongoing BMD and Aegis initiatives and evolving technology as they apply to the NCTE and ensure joint/coalition interoperability considerations. Produce Operations and Engineering FST-LVC technical project notes and event reports that clearly describe event activities, issues, and corrective actions. Keep leadership informed of LVC progress and issues and help coordinate resolutions for any technical or operational issues. Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Held AEGIS Weapon System Supervisor NEC Previously qualified as Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC), Air Warfare Coordinator (AWC), Missiles Systems Supervisor (MSS), Training Supervisor (TRASUP), Ballistic Missile Defense Officer (BMDO) and/or Tactical Action Officer (TAO) Must hold and be able to maintain a Secret clearance to begin employment. Possess a working knowledge of Battle Force Tactical Trainer [BFTT] and Advanced Training Domain [ATD] Possess a thorough working knowledge of AEGIS Combat System requirements to support distributed training architectures Familiar with CISCO IOS theory of operation with regard to routers and switches Familiar with Linux [command line] operating systems Well-developed personal and written communication skills Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools Experience in conducting Fleet or COCOM-level exercises Experience with Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) or other High Level Architecture [HLA]/Distributed Interactive Simulation [DIS] modeling tools a plus Proficiency in Atlassian Confluence and JIRA Project Management tools Preferred Requirements

Prefer a previous STO or CSMM with 10 years of experience with operating the ACS in training, test and tactical operations Physical Requirements: May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
