Inventory Manager
Location Sacramento, CA
Pay $73,000 - $85,000
Schedule Full-time | Flexible schedule required
Who We Are We’re a fast‑paced production and sales operation specializing in the regulated food or cannabis industry. We’re passionate about operational excellence and precision when it comes to managing inventory and product movement. With a commitment to compliance, efficiency, and a strong team culture, we’re looking for a skilled Inventory Manager to join our leadership team and ensure smooth product tracking from production to sale.
What You’ll Do
Lead and supervise the Inventory team, including hiring, coaching, and conducting performance reviews
Oversee and manage daily inventory planning, cycle counts, audits, and labeling processes
Track all inventory using METRC and/or other state‑specific inventory tracking systems
Ensure inventory is stored, transferred, and documented properly and in compliance with all state regulations
Facilitate order fulfillment, including QC, manifests, and communication with sales reps
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory vault
Handle intake and outtake of inventory, ensuring transfers and deliveries are logged and accurate
Oversee the Warehouse Lead and raw material tracking, including monthly and daily counts
Coordinate with production, warehouse, and sales to meet daily and long‑term goals
Sacramento Only: Handle batch testing and lab pickup scheduling
Train and guide staff while maintaining a high‑performance, high‑compliance environment

What You Need to Have
Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory, logistics, or related field (food or beverage industry preferred)
1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
METRC or other regulated inventory system experience strongly preferred
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment
The Musts
21 years of age or older (state requirement)
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) background check
Must pass a criminal background check
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in a cold environment
Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Willing to travel between sites if needed
Preferred
Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification
Previous cannabis industry experience
Experience with regulatory documentation and compliance sampling (especially in CA)
