We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Utilities Project Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the utilities division on a variety of construction projects. This role involves subsurface utility engineering on fast-paced, large-scale projects. Lead a team of professionals and contribute to projects that impact the community. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the utilities team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to plan and execute all utility-related aspects of the project. Develop effective strategies for underground utility design, installation, and maintenance using subsurface utility engineering. Oversee preparation of project schedules, budgets, and specifications. Manage risks and issues related to utilities, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and adherence to specifications. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, issues, and achievements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience with proven SUE experience. Experience with Land Development Desktop, Civil3D, and/or Carlson Survey. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client, contractor, and team relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure. Proficiency with project management software and related applications. A valid driver’s license for regular site visits. Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset. Additional information
