The

Aircraft Mechanic Instructor

is responsible for delivering engaging instruction in assigned courses, ensuring students grasp both theoretical concepts and practical applications in aircraft maintenance. In addition to teaching, the instructor handles administrative tasks such as maintaining records, assessing student performance, and collaborating with faculty to enhance the curriculum. This role fosters a supportive learning environment that promotes student success and career readiness in aviation. Key Duties

Provide engaging and effective teaching in aircraft maintenance principles while developing curricula aligned with industry standards. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and offers individualized support to enhance student success. Oversee administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. This position ensures the training program prepares students for aviation careers and aligns with industry standards. Job Responsibilities

Teach classes on a scheduled basis, fostering an inclusive environment that engages students in aircraft maintenance learning. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, and Campus Executive Director to develop and refine curriculum, prepare course materials, and schedule classes in alignment with industry standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment; ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained for student use. Establish and maintain accurate academic and attendance records, submitting attendance, grades, evaluations, and other documentation as required. Notify the Supervisor of current or potential issues and implement retention techniques to support student success. Complete assigned performance-based teacher education modules, participate in classroom observations and instructor evaluations, and respond to student feedback to improve instructional effectiveness. Attend or lead in-service training sessions, faculty meetings, and other mandatory gatherings to ensure ongoing professional development. Assist in managing department equipment and supplies inventory, submitting replenishment requests as needed. Monitor student attendance, alerting the Supervisor to absences that may affect retention. Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by the Supervisor to support the aircraft maintenance program. Required Qualifications

FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance High School Diploma or GED Strong command of both theoretical and practical aircraft maintenance concepts with ongoing professional development Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compliant educational setting Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with strong multitasking abilities High integrity, work ethic, and professionalism Effective verbal and written communication with emphasis on customer service in an educational context Motivated, goal-oriented, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team Excellent computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) Flexible and willing to work outside scheduled hours as needed Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in related field CampusNexus experience Work Schedule
