Overview
Water/Wastewater Project Manager role at HDR. HDR is looking for a Project Manager to join our Water Business Group in one of our South Carolina offices (Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, or Rock Hill). The role requires at least 10 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection system project design, with experience leading design teams through planning, design, permitting and construction phases. Projects may include water and wastewater treatment facilities, water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure. Responsibilities
Function as a Project Manager, managing and developing multidiscipline teams, utilizing HDR’s business systems and project management tools Build team technical expertise and design production capacity through recruitment, staff development and training Lead and mentor younger staff Participate in leadership for technical service functions and support the development of HDR services in utility planning, asset management, water/wastewater facilities planning and design Coordinate with sub-consultants and utility owners; prepare preliminary and final design; draw coordination; develop technical specifications; perform office and field services during construction Direct production staff and perform client management activities to support the South Atlantic Area (NC/SC/GA) Water Business Group team Coordinate studies, contribute to multiple design teams, and collaborate with sub-consultants and utility client staff Some regional travel will be required Qualifications
Required: Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering; 7 years related experience; a minimum of 2 years project management experience; Professional Engineer (PE) license Preferred: MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline; 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection system design with additional project management experience; SC PE license desired; MS Office and MS Project experience (Access a plus); strong client presentation, project memos and reports skills Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills; ability to thrive in a team environment Local candidates are preferred Demonstrated leadership and a commitment to HDR\'s employee-owned culture What We Believe & Our Commitment
