Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out). Manage all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving multiple project staff. Produce, prioritize, pursue and coordinate several projects concurrently. Establish and maintain client relations, be involved with marketing, contractual commitments, design standards and lead production meetings. Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with other staff, reviewing agencies and project sponsors/stakeholders. Coordinate staffing and workload through the project life cycle, ensuring quality deliverables and managing the critical path schedule. Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust work effort to stay within the budget and schedule. Work with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews. Lead and implement QA/QC procedures to validate work is completed accurately and neatly. Supervise project staff and mentor less-experienced Project Managers, Engineers, or Engineers in Training. Perform periodic check-ins with staff and contributors to confirm deliverables meet schedule commitments. Other duties as needed, including supervisory efforts of direct reports. Preferred Qualifications
10 years related civil design and management experience. Project management experience on active design projects involving roadway and railway elements. Clear written and oral communication within a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with CAD / GIS / design calculation software to lead production of engineering concepts, capital cost determinations, and design-level drawings. Ability to lead proposal development and client-focused pursuits for projects related to CEQA/NEPA to achieve environmental clearance through final design and construction. Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering. 10 years related experience. Minimum 5 years project management experience. Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus).
