Overview

Under the direction of KINA’s VP of Operations, the Mendota Plant Manager leads, plans, directs, and coordinates the production, maintenance, quality, and compliance assurance functions at KINA’s Mendota site. The Plant Manager directs the coordination of operations to ensure compliance with company objectives, budget goals, fabrication quality systems, and customer satisfaction. The Plant Manager will be critical in building a continually improving, compliant-minded culture at the site. This role manages projects, implements systems, and leads with a focus on manufacturing cost reduction. The role has responsibility for the entire on-site operations team and works with the KINA Operations team on a regular basis. Essential Duties Performs work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment through safety leadership; strives to build a strong safety culture. Provides general administration and direction for all facility and maintenance operations. Owns and is accountable for plant manufacturing variances and performance. Follows Kingspan Operational Excellence model and leads the team to follow as well. Directs subordinate personnel, managers and supervisors to effectively and efficiently coordinate activities for all assigned functional areas of responsibility. Develops all organizational directives, policies and procedures that ensure effective operations and programs for facilities management. Reviews processing and maintenance schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints. Reviews fabrication and maintenance operations and confers with technical or sales support staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develops or implements production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, fabrication quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports to detect production problems. Initiates or coordinates inventory or cost control programs in the Manufacturing and Maintenance Operations. Coordinates or recommends procedures for facility, equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines. Identifies areas of opportunity and improvement and addresses them with lean manufacturing principles. Maintains strategic operational plan for capital investment for site. Prepares annual operating budget in collaboration with subordinate personnel; develops and recommends an annual capital budget for long-range repairs and improvements to the facility; authorizes the requisition of equipment and supplies within budget guidelines. Conducts workforce assessments periodically with Human Resources to measure staffing needs, establish training and development goals, and use contingent workforce options to create an optimally staffed and trained workforce; resolve workplace conflicts and investigate misconduct as needed. Institutes employee suggestions or involvement programs and cultivates a team environment. Management responsibilities

— Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Incumbent will have four (4) direct reports. Qualifications Education: BS in engineering or related discipline, construction, or related field required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in production management, or BS in business with at least seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in manufacturing where at least five (5) years are in a production management role with progressive responsibility and experience leading a multidisciplinary team of facility personnel. Must Have: Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office); knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques; knowledge of labor and OSHA laws and requirements; strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to stay calm under pressure. Compliance Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies, including the Product Compliance Policy. Ensure all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with laws, regulations, and markets demands. Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals within the Compliance Management System.
