Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager
to join our Inwood, NY team supporting the JFK International Airport. What We Offer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish and implement training needs of the facilities personnel including GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and training programs to ensure competencies affecting product legality, safety, and quality. Responsible for the ingredient specification program, supplier/vendor program, regulatory 3rd party audit program, labeling program, pre/post inspection program, verification and validation program, retain sample program, and code date adherence program. Facilitate as the SQF Practitioner and SQF training team leader. Conduct audits of vendor facilities and product ingredients. Conduct management training regarding FSQ requirements to ensure compliance. Review reports on regular inspections, sanitation violations, and corrective actions to resolve deficiencies in a timely manner. Audit “Good Manufacturing Practice” training and compliance for the facility. Oversee documentation to maintain compliance with FDA/Medina and standard requirements. Ensure regular audits of sanitation requirements are maintained in all areas of the facility. Achieve and improve audit results related to Food Safety and Quality. Support corporate objectives for policies and goals; set expectations and hold staff accountable for key duties and standards. Ensure all FSQ standards are followed and verify documentation compliance. Nonessential functions: Other duties as assigned. You Have
EDUCATION:
B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Nutrition, Food Science, or another related technical degree. 3-5 years of experience in the food industry. Experience in an SQF facility is a plus. Ability to motivate and build a team; strong written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy: Microsoft Office software required. FDA requirement. Candidate must be HACCP and PCQI certified. Intellectual/Social Demands
Multi-tasking under time limits with attention to detail and accuracy; consistent attendance and punctuality; following instructions and taking responsibility for tasks. Physical Demands
