The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team. Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in the regional design centers supporting project detailed design. Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations. Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services. Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers. Conduct construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues. Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs. Review supplier submittals. Act as a liaison between local design team, client and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design. Startup and testing of major electrical equipment. Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area. This role will support projects for the Phoenix metropolitan area and West Coast Region of the United States. The ideal candidate will live in the Phoenix, AZ Metropolitan area. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments. The Team As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our Governments & Environment market sector. BV’s Governments & Environment business provides planning, design and construction support for mission-critical facilities, threat reduction and environmental services. This team helps modernize water infrastructure, optimize asset use, meet performance goals, reduce costs, and mitigate risk. Check out one of our recent projects: Tomahawk Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer’s license in AZ or another US jurisdiction 5-8 years in electrical design, planning and construction services Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including VFDs and standby diesel generators Understanding of PLC hardware and software setup, network configuration, HMI, SCADA system, instrumentation and fiber optic cabling Experience in a client-facing/business development role Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) as applicable by law.
