Job Title Field Service Representative Reporting To Manager, SDG Field Services Work Schedule Onsite – Buffalo, NY The Moog Defense Sector is looking for a
Field Service Representative/Technician . You will be responsible for technical support and on-site repair/diagnostic activities at various remote locations OCONUS, working in potentially hazardous locations. You will train system end-users, industry partners, and customers on operation of equipment designed and developed by the Moog Defense Sector. When not in the field (CONUS), you will perform technician duties in support of Moog Defense Sector programs to include prototype builds, product assembly, integration, range testing, hardware test, troubleshooting, repair, user and installation manual development and other technical writing. You will act as the face of Moog to the end-users and provide customer feedback to Moog Program Managers and Engineers to facilitate product improvement and provide impeccable customer service. Work location can be one of the following sites: East Aurora, NY; Salt Lake City, UT; Huntsville, AL; or Orlando, FL. International travel will be required.
Responsibilities
Assess and respond to product or system critical situations in a timely, professional manner
Diagnose complex technical problems, collect relevant diagnostic data, clearly communicate the issue to engineers and managers, and implement solutions
Train personnel in the operation of Moog hardware/systems for field operation
Responsible for systems and components with hardware values ranging from $5K to $1.5M
Travel/deploy to OCONUS locations with short notice for extended periods up to one year (or more if desired)
Perform field installations, maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and other service-related activities at customer facilities/field locations
Inspect and verify completed field work to ensure operational and safety integrity of serviced equipment
Assist in the definition and procurement of spares, tools, and equipment to support anticipated field servicing requirements
Inform Engineering and Management of potential performance, service life, misuse, and safety issues based on service history and field observations/customer feedback
Qualifications
Previous experience working as an Field Service Engineer (FSE) / Field Service Representative (FSR)
Prior deployment experience in austere environments as a military member or defense contractor (culturally savvy)
US Military Training Certificate or equivalent Technical Trade School Diploma in Electrical, Avionics, Weapons, Sensor Systems, Remote Weapons Stations, UAS/UAV or Counter-UAS (c-UAS) Systems
Experience with issue tracking and field experience information sharing
Strong communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical customers at all levels
Analytical and diagnostic skills for systems involving electrical, mechanical, and computer interfaces
Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly, test, and measuring equipment
Ability to quickly develop working knowledge of Moog products with minimal documentation
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Valid US Driver License and Passport
Ability to obtain and access U.S. DoD Security Clearance and export-controlled information
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Mobile-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (MLIDS) is highly desired
Experience with crew-served weapons, medium caliber weapons, laser-guided rockets, and/or missile systems is a plus

$33.65–$38.46
per hour
The base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog's salary range for this position in the location. Actual salaries vary by location, experience, and performance. This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
