A key client is looking to hire a
Senior Electrical Design Engineer
to lead the development of power and control systems for aerospace and satellite platforms. This role is central to the evolution of our product line and involves full-spectrum engineering, from architecture through to field deployment. Salary Range:
$140,000-$160,000 Key Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of power electronics development for aerospace and satellite applications—from concept through production. Design and verify high-efficiency, high-reliability power systems optimized for harsh environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, RF, software) to ensure integrated system performance and compliance. Apply industry standards (e.g., DO-254, MIL-STD-461) for certification and EMC design. Oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and custom magnetics specifications. Perform hands-on lab testing, troubleshooting, and documentation throughout the development cycle. Qualifications and Skills
10+ years of professional experience designing mission-critical electronics systems. Expert knowledge of switched-mode power supplies and converter topologies (e.g., Buck, Boost, Flyback, Full-Bridge). Practical experience with mixed-signal circuitry and microcontroller interfaces (I2C, SPI, ADC/DAC). Familiarity with Python or C/C++ for hardware interfacing and control scripting. Competent with Altium Designer or similar tools for schematic entry and board design. Demonstrated ability to make architectural tradeoffs for reliability, cost, and size. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in lab environments. Seniority level
