Project Overview Bechtel operates through four global business units that specialize in infrastructure; manufacturing and technology; mining and metals; nuclear, security and environmental; and energy. The renewable energy team will perform the project management, engineering, procurement, and construction for multiple utility‑scale solar photovoltaic (PV) generating plants across the US.

Job Summary In this role you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of cost data. You will perform budget development tasks, allocation, monitoring, reporting, and analysis. You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and help ensure work is completed as scheduled and on budget. This position is designated as part‑time telework and requires at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.

Major Responsibilities

Perform cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, project setup, control, analysis, forecasting, and trend program coordination.

Prepare and coordinate the implementation of cost reporting and ensure accuracy, as directed.

Prepare specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.

Implement measurement systems for given processes, analyze performance metric results, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Gather and verify data pertaining to workforce and quantities to update progress and performance reports.

Prepare and present cost information at meetings, as directed.

Education and Experience Requirements

University hire with 1‑2 years of experience or 5‑6 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Skilled in oral and written communication and presenting scheduling information.

Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start‑up work processes.

Demonstrated skill in monitoring budgets/forecasts and analyzing costs and commitments.

Ability to take initiative in project related tasks and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Ability to multi‑task and prioritize workload to ensure effective project delivery.

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team atmosphere.

Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
