RGBSI
Position Description:
The Client Vehicle Propulsion Systems Engineering Calibration organization is looking for highly motivated, qualified, and experienced engine calibration engineers to develop drivability, tailpipe emissions, and OBD attributes across internal combustion and hybrid powertrain programs.
Client powertrain calibration engineers work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations, on time, with efficiency and quality in an exciting, demanding, and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop powertrain calibrations for internal combustion and hybrid electric powertrains that meet all program requirements including drivability, performance, emissions, fuel economy, functional safety, and diagnostics. Design and conduct testing to validate powertrain and vehicle attributes. Analyze and present summarized data collected in vehicle to validate and document powertrain calibrations. Conduct in-vehicle/lab/simulation testing and development in S.E. Michigan. Skills Required:
Calibration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Experience Required:
2+ years of engine/hybrid electric vehicle calibration delivering drivability, tailpipe emissions, or OBD attributes. Powertrain calibration data acquisition and data analysis. Experience Preferred:
5+ years of experience in powertrain calibration delivering drivability, tailpipe emissions, or OBD attributes. Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Additional Information:
The engine or hybrid calibration engineer will be responsible for calibrating and delivering either drivability, tailpipe/evap emissions, or on board diagnostics on a specific powerpack/program. This will entail testing, data collection, data analysis, issue troubleshooting and resolution. Testing may occur on roads, software models, and in labs/test facilities in Dearborn. Some travel to hot, cold, and altitude may be required. We offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
