The role:
Take on the opportunity to design, develop, and test high-reliability hardware systems for cutting-edge satellite technologies. In this role, you’ll work with a cross-disciplinary team to bring innovative electrical systems and printed circuit boards (PCBs) to life. Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development:
Create advanced electrical systems and PCBs for satellite platforms. System Ownership:
Drive requirements capture, component selection, schematic design, prototyping, debugging, and testing. Troubleshooting:
Perform root cause analysis at the component level for PCB issues. Electrical Systems Lead:
Oversee the satellite's electrical system, including harness design and fabrication. Documentation:
Prepare and maintain essential design and manufacturing documentation. Collaboration:
Work closely with teams across mechanical, software, manufacturing, and testing disciplines. Operations Support:
Act as the subject matter expert for electrical systems during on-orbit operations. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience:
2-4 years in PCB design, layout, and electronic system validation. Technical Skills:
Expertise in schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium), and proficiency with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Creative Engineering:
Ability to develop innovative solutions and detailed technical documentation. Security Clearance:
Eligible for Secret or TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Skills & Experience: Passion for space and high-reliability electronics. Experience building innovative systems with limited resources. Proficiency with circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice) and surface-mount soldering. Knowledge in power supply design, system verification, embedded systems, and high-speed signal routing. Hands-on experience with FPGAs, digital processors, and electronics productization for manufacturability.
