Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the production of company product(s) by performing the duties listed below, either personally or through subordinate supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Confer with management to establish production and quality control standards, develop budgets and cost controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities in line with effective operations and cost factors. Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resource use. Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity and operational problems. Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to eliminate problems and improve product quality. Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operational issues. Consult with engineering personnel regarding modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality. Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise plant employees. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Qualifications
Industry Experience Preferred Experienced Leader - Large teams in a manufacturing environment Self-motivated Strong in building relationships and able to communicate at all levels Team player Experience in managing a manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills Communication, influencing, negotiating and assertiveness Decision-making, sound business judgment Quality management / delivering customer requirements Project management Lean Manufacturing Experience Preferred Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required Education And/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school; 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EEO Statement
