We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in
thermal analysis
and proficiency in CAD modeling tools, specifically
NX . Key Responsibilities: Design and analysis expertise in axial and radial turbine blades and vanes with or without internal cooling. Knowledge of turbine cooling and durability. Perform professional mechanical engineering assignments such as heat transfer and secondary cooling flow analyses. Create, execute and calibrate 2D and 3D transient conduction-convection thermal models using NX thermal or equivalent software. Create and execute 3D conjugate heat transfer models using
StarCCM+
or equivalent software. Advanced skills in using CAD software to generate and manipulate geometries for vanes and blade turbines components. Communicate technical results to internal and external customers and stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering. MS or PhD Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred. Proficient in using StarCCM+, or other COTS thermal analysis tools. Proficient in working with CAD models, using
NX
or other equivalent CAD software. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in gas turbine engineering design and analysis. Base pay range
$58.00/hr - $60.00/hr Seniority level
