Schedule:
Mon to Fri 8:00 – 5:00, Weekends and OT as needed
Overtime:
20%
Travel:
10% – US travel and some Japan. Meet with machine manufacturers.
Project Scope This person will be involved in
Engine machining . Focus on the
5 inhouse Toyota machines :
The block, the head, the crank, the camshaft, and the camrod.
Must Haves
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Mechanic. 95% of the job is mechanical.
Experience:
3–5+ years in the automotive industry. Other industries considered if powertrain experience.
Strong Preference:
Toyota Powertrain or Toyota PE experience.
Multiple years in automotive if no Toyota experience.
Project Management:
Deal with new equipment specifications and installations. Understand design drawings and translate to process. Work with machine manufacturers to specify and run the equipment.
Backgrounds:
Industrial Mechanic, Engineer (Powertrain).
Submission Dates:
Manager reviews resumes Thursday.
Interview Dates:
HM interviews next week Tuesday/Wednesday.
Upcoming Travel/Time off for HM:
Off Friday and Monday.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Develop process plans for production lines within the powertrain department with direct support from the Manager.
Mentor other engineers or technicians.
Lead cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials and launch of production lines.
Create and maintain detailed schedule and budget for the assigned area.
Participate and lead cross-functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals.
