Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop your career with a successful and well-regarded housebuilder?
Our client is a reputable residential developer, renowned for building high-quality homes and maintaining strong relationships with their supply chain and stakeholders. With a healthy pipeline of projects across Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, they are now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
Role & Responsibilities
Support the commercial team in managing costs across residential developments. Assist with preparing estimates, budgets, and tender documentation. Help with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including contract administration. Monitor costs, variations, and valuations under the guidance of senior QS staff. Work closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial efficiency. Gain exposure to full project lifecycles, with training and mentoring provided. Requirements
Previous experience as a Trainee/Assistant QS, ideally within the housebuilding or residential construction sector. Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills. Keen to learn, with a proactive and positive approach. Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification/experience) desirable but not essential. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team. What’s on Offer
