Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Preconstruction Manager to help lead our Industrial group. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following
(other duties may be assigned): Manage construction or estimate construction costs for water and/or waste water treatment plants or similar facilities. Knowledgeable about construction approaches for water and wastewater treatment plants. Lead estimates or major components of estimates. Develop costs for self-perform work including concrete, earthwork, piping systems, and process equipment installation. Lead and manage a team of estimators. Compile conceptual estimates with project benchmarks and details. Support department in related markets and work types. Execute multiple delivery methods: hard bid, negotiated GMP, Design Build, Construction Management at Risk. Collaborate with operations on project requirements, schedules, and financials. Understand and work towards pro-forma targets. Promote collaboration across departments and regions. Partner with divisions to manage pursuit costs. Drive project progress and strategize to win projects. Utilize estimating software tools proficiently. Engage with clients to understand needs and lead budget discussions. Manage, mentor, and develop estimators; conduct performance reviews. Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders for business development. Research emerging trends and apply innovative strategies. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience managing estimates and teams. Proven success at Senior Estimator level. Understanding of preconstruction processes. Leadership skills with mentoring and motivating teams. Strong relationship development skills. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Conflict resolution experience. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Organizational skills and construction scheduling experience. Knowledge of quantity surveying and estimating software.
