Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. Description Hoyle Tanner is seeking a part-time Geotechnical Engineer for our Ground Transportation Services Division. If you have a PE license and 10 years of experience, we would like to offer you a role in the design and analysis of infrastructure projects such as bridge foundations, retaining walls, and treatment plant structures. Location: Manchester, NH Our office is located in Manchester’s historic mill yard, occupying a 30,000 sq ft space on the 5th floor of the original Amory Mill, blending historic charm with modern design. Job Responsibilities Develop geotechnical investigation requirements, scopes of services, and budgets for sub-consultants Coordinate with geotechnical firms and review submissions Perform fieldwork for subsurface investigations Perform and review design calculations for foundations, walls, and tanks Assist in designing airfield pavements and suggest sustainable solutions Mentor team members on geotechnical aspects Design and evaluate foundation systems, including driven piles and reinforced earth structures Prepare reports, calculations, and specifications Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical data into designs Conduct site visits and inspections Stay current with industry standards and regulations Participate in meetings and communicate with clients and agencies Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Flexible hours and hybrid work options Part-time or full-time work opportunities Professional development and continuing education Comprehensive benefits including health, retirement, and paid time off Supportive work environment Requirements BSc in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) PE licensure required Minimum 10 years in geotechnical engineering, focusing on foundations and structures Proficiency in foundation design and analysis software Strong understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical principles Excellent communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Hoyle Tanner is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
