Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Revit Expert Location: Orange, CA Job Type: Full-time Job Overview We seek a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the design and development of complex commercial HVAC systems in Orange, CA. This role focuses on large-scale commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects, requiring expertise in chillers, boilers, hydronic piping, duct work, and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and code-compliant designs. Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design for commercial HVAC projects, including chilled water, hot water, VRF, and air distribution systems. Develop and review detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards, Title 24, and California Mechanical Code. Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analysis to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure seamless integration of design and installation. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, fostering professional growth and industry best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial HVAC systems. Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam for mechanical system modeling and documentation. Strong understanding of California building codes, ASHRAE standards, and Title 24 compliance. In-depth knowledge of Orange County HVAC regulations and construction standards. Local and stable work history with a proven track record in commercial mechanical design. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification.
