We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead the successful delivery of complex construction projects, with a primary focus on electrical systems in North Carolina. This role involves managing multiple small to medium-sized projects or one large-scale initiative, while overseeing a team of project professionals to ensure performance, financial success, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will also support business development efforts and cultivate strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Plan and organize projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or Division Manager. Oversee day-to-day project activities, including task assignments, problem-solving, and adherence to company policies and standards. Collaborate with clients during project initiation, evaluating scope, schedule, and required resources. Prepare detailed project estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documentation. Define project objectives, policies, and performance metrics in alignment with organizational guidelines. Manage and negotiate change orders and related project documentation. Monitor project progress alongside field supervisors to ensure timely and on-budget delivery. Proactively identify risks or issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Assist in the preparation and negotiation of change quotations. Support cost tracking and reporting activities on a monthly basis. Oversee financial aspects of projects, including billing, expenses, and profitability. Review work produced by Assistant Project Managers. Represent the organization in project meetings and client communications. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on project needs and business priorities. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Management role within the construction industry (or equivalent combination of experience and education). Strong professional presence and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with estimating and project management software is a plus. Experience with budgeting, billing, and contract management. Effective leadership, problem-solving, and performance management skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Hyperscale project experience strongly preferred. Background with an electrical contractor or demonstrated experience in electrical construction environments.
