Our client is seeking a skilled and highly motivated

Field Service Engineer

with a strong mechanical and electrical background to join their team. This role requires hands‑on experience with industrial‑sized equipment, as well as proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics. A background in control systems is a strong plus. Candidates must be located within 60 miles of Blaine, MN.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex machinery at customer sites across the country and potentially globally. You’ll serve as a key technical expert, representing our client’s commitment to high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Location Blaine, MN

Hourly Rate 35-55hr, depends on experience

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and test industrial machinery and systems at customer locations

Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on‑site with minimal supervision

Interpret and work from mechanical/electrical schematics and technical documentation

Provide training and technical support to customers and operators

Document service activities, submit detailed reports, and maintain accurate records

Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex technical issues

Travel to customer locations 50–75% of the time (travel may include overnights and international destinations)

Requirements

Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology

At least 3+ years of proven experience working with industrial equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems

Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics

Background in control systems, PLCs, or automation technologies is a nice to have
