This Jobot Job is hosted by Christie Bauer. We are a mechanical company looking for a Pipefitter Plumber to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our construction team, responsible for the design, layout, installation, and repair of pipe systems in commercial and industrial settings. Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $55.00/hr Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting blueprints to understand the specific requirements of each project. Designing and installing pipe systems, supports, and related equipment according to specifications and applicable codes. Cutting, threading, and assembling pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and pipe benders. Inspecting workplaces to determine the presence of any hazards or malfunctions in the pipe systems. Assembling and installing a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic. Collaborating with design and engineering teams to determine ideal pipe system layouts for new construction projects. Performing troubleshooting and repairs on existing pipe systems and related equipment. Ensuring all installations and repairs are compliant with building codes and safety regulations. Training junior team members and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices. Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent. A vocational or technical degree in plumbing, pipefitting, or a related field is highly preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipefitter Plumber in the construction industry. Proven experience with welding, pipe fitting, plumbing, and mechanical systems. A valid plumbing license and a clean driving record. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other tradespeople, engineers, and project managers. Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects, operate machinery, and work in a variety of weather conditions. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety. Willingness to continue learning and improving skills, including staying updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
