Wind Turbine Generator Equipment Engineer
role. This position is remote with travel. Position
Location:
Juno Beach, FL (Preferred) – Potential for remote with 25% travel Role:
Wind Turbine Generator Engineer Purpose:
This contractor will be supporting the operation and maintenance of wind turbine electrical systems. Experience
3-5+ years of relatable professional experience in engineering, consulting, or project management preferred. Hours and Duration
Hours:
M-F, 1st shift. Potential for OT with approval Length of Assignment:
12 month contract + potential extension Responsibilities
Assist with operating and maintaining wind turbine generators and power distribution cables. Diagnose issues and implement solutions for generator systems using diagnostic tools (e.g., Vibration Monitoring, MCSA/ESA, endoscopic inspections). Translate and communicate financial and technical business cases to gain leadership approval. Balance and prioritize multiple projects and deliverables; data-driven decision making. Provide technical support to Field Service Personnel. Collaborate with Wind Fleet Electrical team to improve uptime and reduce O&M costs. Qualifications
Strong understanding of electrical rotating machines, electromagnetic theory, and machine dynamics. Experience with wind generation is desirable but not required. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Root Cause Analysis. Experience writing repair, operations, and maintenance procedures and specifications. Ability to climb wind turbines and travel ~20% to wind sites and vendor shops. Engineering degree and 5+ years of experience. Ability to work independently and within teams. Additional Information
