Manager, Production Planning & Scheduling at Shoals Technologies Group (NASDAQ: SHLS). This role focuses on creating, coordinating, and optimizing the production planning and scheduling process in partnership with key operations and cross-functional leaders. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning sales forecasts, production capacity, and financial plans across departments. Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demands, resource availability, and production capacity. Coordinate with production teams to ensure schedules are communicated and executed effectively. Monitor and address scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Collaborate with procurement to ensure adequate raw materials and components for schedules. Regularly review inventory levels, identify discrepancies, mitigate risks, and maintain optimal stock levels. Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and costs, improving efficiency. Work with sales, engineering, procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, shipping, and logistics to gather information and resolve production issues. Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Establish and monitor KPIs to track performance and drive operational excellence. Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory, and key production data; generate and present performance reports to management. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 5 years as a production scheduler or in a similar manufacturing role. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve production-related issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
