Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract position at Actalent in Ft Mitchell, KY
Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will plan, develop, and coordinate engineering projects, act as a technical consultant, and present solutions to site performance demonstrations. Responsibilities
Serve as a staff advisor and consultant on technical specialties, equipment, or program functions. Achieve assigned project tasks and objectives within established strategies. Ensure project tasks assigned to others are completed within budget, schedule, and priority. Conduct engineering design reviews to ensure fit, function, and accuracy. Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve project completion or engineering processes. Keep leaders informed on the status of assigned projects with timely updates and alternate plan suggestions. Follow up with other departments on project tasks to ensure critical items are completed within needed timelines. Essential Skills
5+ years of machine design experience 1+ year of SolidWorks experience Experience with sheet metal design Background in manufacturing of parts Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associate’s with relevant experience considered) Additional Qualifications
Proficiency in SolidWorks Experience in mechanical engineering and mechanical design Knowledge of sheet metal and machine design Experience in equipment design, new product development, R&D engineering Familiarity with a manufacturing environment and tooling Work Environment
Desk‑based R&D setting, 100% on‑site at Covington, KY. Flexible hours within standard business hours. Pay And Benefits
Pay range: $85,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year.
