Injection Molding Process Engineer I

We are seeking a highly skilled
Injection Molding Process Engineer
to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in plastic manufacturing and deep expertise in developing and sustaining optimum molding processes for medical device components. This position will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality production through scientific molding techniques and robust project management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and sustain optimum injection molding processes for medical manufacturing device components. Apply Decoupled Scientific Molding Principles to develop and optimize molding processes. Run projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Troubleshoot and improve process areas within the molding department. Lead and support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams. Prepare and present detailed technical reports and process documentation.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in the plastic manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Decoupled Molding Principles. Proven project management experience. Exceptional troubleshooting and process improvement skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with customers. Experience in writing technical reports and delivering effective presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
Master Molder Certification strongly preferred. Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not required). Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment is a plus.
