Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Software Product Owner (PO)
i3 is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Software Product Owner (PO) to work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
Responsibilities
Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL) team.
Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and provide guidance to the development team.
Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.
Work with Program Management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
Provide technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership.
Report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
The candidate should have knowledge of at least some of the following: Ansible and/or other scripting languages; data logging and archiving best practices; weapon system component health & status reporting best practices; the DDS standard; C++ and Java. Ability to work directly with Agile software developers.
Required:
Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
Citizenship:
Must be a US citizen.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
Security:
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
Other Qualifications
An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
The ability to move out and champion ideas, architectures, designs, and enthusiastic, independent critical thinking with a team attitude are important.
Security Requirements Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
