NGL Trader

Atlas Oil Company is seeking a skilled trader to generate new trading strategies, manage existing trading strategies, and optimize the trading portfolio across various natural gas liquids positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundamental analysis, market intelligence, and deal execution. The primary responsibilities of this role include: Assisting the General Manager of NGL/Natural Gas Trading in daily portfolio management Developing new trading strategies using in-depth fundamental analysis and market intelligence Executing transactions efficiently and decisively Recognizing market trends and disconnects Continuously challenging and debating existing strategies and new trading ideas Analyzing existing infrastructure and associated current and future flows Ensuring compliance with risk and position limits Networking with relevant NGL market participants Ensuring accuracy of deal entry, daily positions, and mark-to-market Following company risk management policies Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field Required experience includes: Five years of professional experience in a trading environment Three years of experience in natural gas liquids trading environment Three years of experience performing NGL supply and demand analysis Three years of experience in deal execution through electronic platforms, brokers, and direct with counterparties Experience in both physical and financial NGL trading Keen understanding of spread trading, including time spreads, basis, and cross commodity Experience in daily position and financial reconciliation Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong mathematical and Excel skills Highly quantitative with proven analytical capabilities Demonstrated interpersonal skills Proven ability to perform under time pressure in fast-moving markets Self-starter with a demonstrated track record of bottom-line profitability
