Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner to join our team. In this role, you will manage the coordination and execution of production schedules for coffee roasting, grinding, and flavor development. Responsibilities
Prepare and sequence Production schedules for the Planning Horizon while remaining in communication with plant leadership to ensure execution of the schedule. Maintain and update daily Production Planning Detailed Scheduling release/schedule production orders for Roaster, Grinder and Flavor Room and/or assigned Plants/Assets. Schedule the Green Bean deliveries based upon production needs. Schedule Roasters, Grinders, and Flavor Room production based upon production needs in bags and filtered single serve cups. Review available Green Beans in silos, racks, and in trucks for the start of production. Verify filtered single serve cup schedule to ensure coffee is within the Degassing timelines. Monitor reallocations and schedule batches for coffee. Monitor all roasted and ground coffee to ensure it is placed into cups within 2 weeks or less. Verify Daily Shortage report vs. available materials and production schedule. Utilize AX Dynamics to sequence product mix and packaging to maximize efficiencies and yields. Maintain system parameters with Production Planning Detailed Scheduling for production scheduling (routes, minimum, and other settings up to date). Collaborate with all other supply planning functions to maintain required inventory levels. Participate in daily/weekly production schedule meetings with plant leadership team to ensure alignment with current and future production schedule. Support IBP (Supply Review). Support Expansion Projects. Use up left over or aging materials. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field. APICS Certification preferred. At least 5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related role within a manufacturing environment. Proficient with ERP Systems (AX Dynamics/Microsoft 365 preferred) with ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively manage projects and change. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to collaborate well cross-functionally and work well with all levels of the organization. Strong troubleshooting and judgment skills. Resourceful, proactive, high energy and results driven. Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office tools, Excel, and ERP systems. Willingness to work weekends, holidays or flexible schedule as required. Ability to demonstrate analytical, adaptability, planning, organizing, strategical thinking, written, and communication skills Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Able to work well on a team and contribute to a positive work environment. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
