Job Captain role at PBK. A Job Captain is responsible for producing high quality project deliverables in construction documents. The Job Captain can work in all phases of a project, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. Responsibilities
Assist Project Architect in developing project documents for bidding and construction. Provide input to the design and construction schedule - communicate the technical implications of design decisions. Organize and direct the architectural and/or engineering team to execute the work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner. Provide support for tasks required for the successful completion of the project. Prepare project construction documents. Communicate and coordinate the preparation of documents with consultants, contractors, team members. Review shop drawings, project submittals, etc. for document compliance. Document code review and compliance. Communicate and coordinate with management, clients, consultants and contractors related to daily business operations. Occasional travel required. Other duties as assigned. Here’s What You’ll Need
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. 4-8 years of professional experience preferred. Proficiency in using Revit Architecture. Ability to use AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp or other 3D Modeling, Animation, Rendering programs is a plus. DSA experience for California-specific Job Captains is preferred. Educational, Healthcare, Corporate and Sports experience preferred. Strong customer service skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
