Farnsworth Group is seeking a
Civil 3D Designer
to join the Energy & Utilities team in the drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of industrial projects, with a focus on oil & gas, wind, solar and utility projects. Posting locations: Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Frisco, TX; Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center); Indianapolis, IN; Lisle, IL; or St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities
Prepare topographic and civil alignment/profile and utility drawings, and occasional drawings for other engineering disciplines. Prepare civil-based drawings, and occasional facility and/or process piping drawings. Prepare easement exhibits with guidance from a licensed surveyor. Qualifications
Associate or Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, or a similar field 10+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction drawings Flexibility to perform design and drafting work and meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to plan and manage time on multiple concurrent projects Team-oriented, highly motivated with a strong work ethic, and able to work with minimal direction Strong understanding of CAD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, and drawing setup Effective communication with project team members Desired Experience
Oil & Gas or renewable energy industry experience MicroStation experience Experience processing survey data Experience processing LiDAR scan data and point clouds Bluebeam Industrial mechanical piping experience About Farnsworth Group
